The Power of Venus: Park Jimin
BTS has been soaring during the past decade: going from an underdog boy group within the ruthless K-Pop industry in 2013 to International Stardom by 2020. I wanted to explore the sidereal birth chart of a member of their group; to see what placements can indicate massive success in the music and entertainment industry. As I look more into BTS, I have become convinced that they are a great group to study on an astrological level.
I chose Park Jimin because I feel like he is the perfect embodiment of Venus's traditional associations in the modern world.
Note: I will be using the Sidereal Zodiac with Raman ayanamsha and Whole Signs Houses. I do not use Tropical or Placidus. I utilize both Vedic and Traditional Western techniques in this article. I am new to the latter so I will update this article on any future updates.

He has numerous planets in domicile and/or exaltation. He has Moon and Mercury exalted, Venus, Mars, and Saturn in their domicile signs.
Right away, I can see that both his Moon and Venus are in strong but afflicted condition. His Venus is in its Mooltrikona sign but is conjunct Rahu, the North Node of the Moon, which is regarded as a malefic planet in Vedic Astrology. His Moon is exalted but in the 6th House of Turmoil, Toil, Servitude, and Illnesses. His afflicted Venus serves as the dispositor for his Moon.
Rahu amplifies and overblows the qualities of every planet it is in conjunction with. In astrology, the planet Venus signifies: artists, musicians, singers, performance arts, romance, relationships, beauty, finances, and values. Rahu amplifies his love for the arts, singing, and beauty.
There is a running joke within the BTS fandom of Jimin's sheer magnetism, even among heterosexual men. That is the power of a strong Venus: charm, diplomacy, attraction, and magnetism. While a strong Venus does not necessarily make a native traditionally attractive (though Jimin certainly is), it will induce a unique charm, poise, and presence that attracts others.
Interestingly enough, his chart is not without its difficulties. His ascendant lord/lagnesh is in the 12th house of imagination, losses, the subconscious, hidden enemies, foreign lands, prison, and confinement. I have seen this placement in several different K-Pop idols and many celebrities. It speaks to how he views his own vitality, health, and personality. The K-Pop industry controls and regulates idols from an early age; training them for hours on end, choosing their personalities and public image, controlling their every hour, changing their appearance, coercing idols into plastic surgery and dramatic weight loss. In a metaphorical sense, it's a very 12H prison-like realm.
On a more positive side, the 12th house is a significator of relocation and foreign lands. Jimin did not reach his full potential of success until BTS became an international (12H) phenomenon. As the ascendant lord is indicative of our major themes in life, the 12H themes of isolation, hidden enemies, losses, and success in foreign lands, interaction with foreigners/foreign countries will play a big part of his life as an international celebrity. Being a celebrity isolates him from the masses, from most people around him. His ascendant lord is conjunct Mars, strong in his Own Sign and his 5th Lord. A strong 5th Lord is what gives him his performance skills and indicates that he will gain success when he starts to interact with foreign environments/lands. As the 12th Lord in the 12H, the 12H themes in his life are prominent and a big part of him. Mars conjunct the Ascendant Lord gives a Martian quality to his personality -- he is athletic, proficient in modern dance, but prone to accidents.
To get a full scope of Jimin's reputation and public image to the world, we have to take a look at his Tenth House. He has Sun conjunct Exalted Mercury in the Tenth House. The 10th House is the determinator of our profession and career. His Sun rules his 9H of good fortune, religion, luck, travel, and foreign lands. He has been fortunate in his profession for all of his life. Out of all seven members of the boy group, Jimin took the shortest amount of time to train and has been one of their most popular members since their debut. His 9th Lord is conjunct an exalted 7H and 10H lord Mercury placed in its own house. Mercury in the Tenth is an apt descriptor of his profession: communicating through music, voice, social networks (his 11th Lord in 11H helps), and conjunct his 9th lord, spans across foreign countries.
Looking at his Vimshottari Dasha periods, he debuted with BTS in 2013 during his Rahu Mahadasha - Saturn Antardasha. His Rahu is placed in Libra conjunct Venus in its Own Sign in the 11th House of Hopes, Dreams, Wishes, Social Networks, Income, Gains, and Desires. His Saturn is in its Own Sign of Aquarius in the 3H of publishing, communication, and skills. In Vedic Astrology, Rahu is a significator of viral, quick fame.
He debuted as a soloist during his Mercury antardasha, the exalted ruler of his 10th House, with the single "Lies". He released his debut album during his Moon antardasha, which is disposited by his 11H Venus-Rahu conjunction.
During his Mars antardasha, he enlisted into the Korean military for mandatory service. Mars is the traditional significator of soldiers and armies --- which is further reinforced by its location within Scorpio, its domicile sign.
